Detailed info
Weeping Willow is an easy echo song, which works as both a unison warm-up, and a short piece in 4-part harmony. In an echo song, a leader (or leaders) demonstrate(s) parts in call-and-response fashion, with singers learning by echoing phrases, usually a bar behind the leader(s), to create overlapping sustained notes and chords.
This reflective little piece has a gentle character, with harmonic richness arising from close voicings and overlapping parts. Although it is easy to learn, challenges arise in tuning the harmonies.
